I am trying to get started with this whole blogging thing!!! I have always wanted to write down my thoughts and things/events that happen in my life. I have just never really taken the time to sit down and do it. I recently decided that since I am blessed with a wondrful computer (MacBook Pro), and since I use my computer often to do many other things, why not use it to write down (or type) my thoughts, happenings, and events that take place in my day to day life. Often those things do not seem very important when they are happening, but often (especially at the end of one year and the beginning of another year) I ask myself the same old question. Where did the time go? How did this year pass by so quickly? and What important (or maybe not so important) things did I do during this year. Well, I felt like if I wrote these things down throughout the year, then I could look back and see exactly what happened during those 12 months or 365 days. (8,760 hours, 525,600 minutes and 1,314,000 seconds - I hope I figured that accurately!)
As you can see, or ahead depending on how you want to look at it!!! Typically, people begin new things in January since it is the beginning of the year. I guess you could say that I am beginning my journaling or rather blogging at the beginning of the autumn season (give or take a few days!). There are many more things to say and do. I hope to make this a habit of journaling/blogging my thoughts here. Happy end of summer 2012. Remembering 9 - 11- 01 today also.

My First Entry
Today is the first day that I am posting to my blog. This is a new and different adventure to me! I am enjoying this second day of April by spending time with my mother and my two brothers in Athens Georgia! My daughter Rachel and my brother David's daughter Anna are also with us. They are on Spring Break from school. The girls spent some time today in the pool. It is hard to believe that it is warm enough this early in April to get into the pool. I am admit that only the girl's got into the pool. It is still a little too cool for me to get into the pool yet! However, when I was Rachel's age, I would have been splashing around myself! I do miss my guys back home as well and also the one in college. I am looking forward to sharing more of my journey through April of 2012 on my new blog! Cyndi Wren :)
