Well, it seems that my good intentions of blogging previously have not been successful. As I was reflecting over 2012 during the last few days of the year, I thought that perhaps I could make a resolution in the new year to create a blog entry for every day of the year in 2103. Since I am one of those people who often looks at the glass half empty rather than half full, I decided that I would blog mainly about my blessings in this life. It seems that in the past, each time I have found myself having a "pity party" and focusing on all of the bad things that are going on in my life, my mother challenges me to try to think on the good things going on or to think about the many ways I have been blessed in her attempt to get me out of the slump. When I am in the midst of a "pity party", the last thing that I want to do is to focus on good things or the many ways that I have been blessed! So, I decided that if I took the time to write down my blessings, that the next time I find myself being the life of a "pity party", I could easily go to my own words that are written down and read about the many ways that I have been blessed.
For the past few years during the month of November, I have created post on Facebook (along with many of my friends) sharing things that I am thankful for. I begin my thankfulness post by sharing about most important people and things in my life. I am going to begin counting my blessings blog by mentioning the most important person in my life. I am truely blessed and I have the priviledge of knowing Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior as a nine year old girl. I know that He will never leave me nor forsake me. One of the verses that I learned as a child was John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world (Cyndi) that He gave His only Son, that whoever (Cyndi) believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Jesus is most definately a blessing to me and He has bestowed many blessings on my. Thank you Jesus!
